Arsenal football club were one of the busiest Premier League clubs during the summer transfer window.
Arsenal: The North London club completed the signings of Thomas Partey, Runar Alex Runarsson, Willian, and Gabriel Magalhaes as manager Mikel Arteta wants to compete on all fronts this season.
Alongside those new signings, the Gunners handed permanent deals to defenders Pablo Mari and Cedric Soares respectively and also called back young defender William Saliba from his loan spell at Ligue 1 club AS Saint-Etienne.
However, things have not quite gone to plan for William Saliba since he returned to Arsenal from his loan spell.
The central defender has found regular game time difficult to come by so far this season and has been linked with a move away.
If reports are anything to go by, then the young centre-back is set to leave Arsenal and re-join the Ligue 1 club when the transfer window opens in January.
The 19-year-old France International initially signed for Arsenal in 2019 before spending the last season on loan at AS Saint-Etienne.
William Saliba has since returned to the Emirates Stadium but has been frozen out of the squad and he is now considering a move away in January.
And according to reports from The Sun, Ligue 1 club AS Saint-Etienne are keen on bringing him back to France.
The Ligue 1 outfit want to improve their defensive options and are keen on completing a loan deal for Wiliam Saliba in January.
That said, the young defender could be tempted to leave as he was not included in Arsenal’s Premier League and Europa League squads.
