The Chelsea have shown a remarkable defensive record since Thomas Tuchel’s hired at the club in late January, conceding just two goals in the 13 games he has been in charge as the head coach at Stamford Bridge.
There will be a shake in the squad as the team is expected to bring in a new centre forward, defensive players, defender to strengthen the team for better performance.
Sule from Bayern Munich and RB Leipzig’s Konate are on the list of players being considered along with Uruguay international Gimenez who plays for Atletico Madrid. Manchester United have also shown interest in signing Leipzig star Konate, while rumours that Barcelona and Real Madrid are set to join the race to sign the youngster is swimming.
Antonio Rudiger would delay contract talks with Chelsea managements until after this summer. So Chelsea would know if they would get a replacement or not or just a support for him.
Rudiger’s current contract at Stamford Bridge expires in the summer of 2022 with Chelsea ready to offer the Germany international an extension.
The defender will hold entering into talks – although there are possibilities there would be a new face at the back, though that’s not a factor for him to stay or leave. Rudiger was out of the Blues first-team under Frank Lampard but has been opportuned under Tuchel to be on the first team, making him featured in all but one of Chelsea’s matches since the Tuchel’s arrival.
