Chelsea struggled against French League sides Rennes to secure 3 points and remain on top of group E table.
The game was really tough for the blues in today’s match but they managed to win 2-1 against Rennes. Colum Hudson Odoi scores an opener at the 23rd minute, which kept the blues to dominate the first half of the match. The first half ended 1-0 with Chelsea leading. The second half came and it was not an easy thing for Chelsea as the opponent came up more energetic and they controlled the game on many occasions.
In the 85th minute, they equalized with a header. The opponents struggled for some minutes before Giroud’s header made Chelsea a 2-1 win. It was really a celebration for the blues as that Giroud’s header gave them 3 points which retained them on top of the table in Group E.
