Mohammed Elneny’s agent Alaa Nazmy has explained why Arsenal didn’t sell him permanently to Besiktas after his long season loan expired this season.
Arsenal loaned Elneny to Besiktas when Unai Emry was appointed as the coach because he was considered to be surplus to requirements at Arsenal back then. Elneny who was originally procured by Arsenal coach legend Arsene Wenger in 2015, shone in his third loan spells at Besikas.
The Egyptian midfielder played alongside Arsenal coach Mikel Arteta towards the end part of his stay at Arsenal. This may have been the place where Arteta and Elneny found chemistry.
Elneny’s agent confirmed that Arteta loves his style of play and this the major reason behind his Revitalization at Arsenal.
Mr Nazmy said:
“Elneny wanted to succeed after his loan spell with Besiktas, Mikel Arteta trusts him and enjoys his style of play,”
Since his return to Arsenal Elneny has redefined himself in the heart of Arsenal fans having impressed consistently.
Meanwhile, the Egyptian has been tested positive for Covid19 during the international duties but his employer (Arsenal) have asked him to return back for further test. This is to say that Elneny and his compatriot Thomas Partey will not be available for Leed United match.
Elneny’s agent continued:
“The idea behind Elneny’s return despite testing positive for COVID-19 is that he didn’t show any symptoms, which is why Arsenal wanted him in order to undergo another PCR test.
“If he’s in good health he will start an individual training program in order to be physically prepared.
