Preston North End has broken Mourinho’s Chelsea defensive record set since 2005 in the English football league.
Preston went on to win a 1-0 away at Coventry City during Wednesday night football in the Championship.
Ryan Lowe’s side has now write their name into the history book of English league football with seven games without conceding a goal at the start of the season.
Beating the record previously set by Chelsea’s Mourinho in 2005 with six games and 44 minutes.
Mourinho led the Stamford Bridge club to a premier league title in 2005/06 and conceded first goal of the season to Aston Villa in the 44th minutes of the seventh game.
As Luke Moore put a goal past Petr Cech. The Chelsea went on to win the game, thanks to a brace from Frank Lampard.
Chelsea also finished the 2005/06 premier league season only conceding 15 goals at the end of the season.

A record still hold by Chelsea for the fewest premier league goals conceded in a season. (Chelsea 15GA – 2005/06 season)
Though Preston North End did not match the points Chelsea accumulated during their run of winning seven from seven games.
Chelsea get hold of Wigan, Arsenal, West Brom, Tottenham, Sunderland, Charlton and eventually Villa too.
Preston only win two games from seven and draw 0-0 five times these season. With the win coming against Luton Town and Coventry last night.
Drawing nil-nil to Wigan, Hull City, Rotherham, Watford and Cardiff.
However, kudos still goes to Ryan Lowe’s men for writing their name into the history book with such a defensive record.
