Christopher Nkunku has reportedly sign a pre-contract agreement with Chelsea ahead of move next summer.
After ongoing a secret medical last month, the french forward has now pen a future contract with the blues.
Nkunku signed a two-year contract with RB Leipzig back in June but Chelsea have now move faster to acquire the forward.
According to The Atletic, Chelsea have agreed to pay over €60 million release clause.
With his release clause to be active next summer which could have cause some transfer battle among top team.
But the Stamford Bridge club has move faster to have secured the deal already and Nkunku is also happy with Chelsea interest.
“It’s no secret there are clubs that are interested in me,” Nkunku said.
“Yes, it’s flattering. But it’s also flattering to have a club like Leipzig doing everything to keep me.
“Here, we will have to think carefully and make a good decision. The World Cup is coming to life and this is a parameter to be taken into account.
“Like I said, you just have to think it through.”
Meanwhile Chelsea head coach Graham Potter refused to comment on it , saying: “My answer to that type of stuff is unless it’s a player for us, I don’t really speak about other players, So, no comment.
”But Chelsea have nearly got their man, the wait will just have to continue until the end of the season before they can finalise a deal and confirm their new arrival.
