The Premier League returned today after two weeks of International fixtures. The first match of the matchday was Newcastle against Chelsea. The match was played at the historic St James Park. Chelsea managed to win the match although they faced some completion from their hosts. Newcastle conceded an own goal and Tammy Abraham Scored a second-half strike to give the visitors three points.
However one key factor that was noted from the match is the missing of England international Defender Fikayo Tomori. The English youngster was expected to replace Thiago Silva who was unavailable due to fatigue but Frank Lampard opted to use Germany International Defender Antonio Rudiger. It was even surprising that the Defender was not among the substitutes.
Chelsea supporters have taken to social media to criticize the manager for leaving out the youngster despite blocking a loan move last Transfer window. Chelsea fans have advised that the Defender should be loaned out in January so as to get some first-team Experience
