Manchester United are confident of completing the £37m signing of Amad Diallo from Atalanta next transfer window. The red devils announced on deadline day in October that they had reached an agreement with Atalanta to sign the 18-year-old winger in January provided that he obtained a work permit.
The completion of Amad Diallo’s move to Manchester United looks now set to go ahead after the player was given his Italian passport this week.
The Ivorian’s work permit issue was known when the Red Devils captured his signature, with the hope always being that the move could be completed in January.
This now looks to be the case and Diallo is expected to fly to Manchester in the new year to complete his move, reports Fabrizio Romano for The Guardian.
Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is set to evaluate Diallo in training when he does finally arrive and justify if he is ready to be thrown into first team action or whether, like fellow new signing Facu Pellistri, he will be given time to acclimatize in the Under 23 side.
